Patient
Assistance Help Programs
As
a patient myself who has struggled for years on only Medicare and my Social
Security to afford the medical treatment and prescriptions to make my life
better and easier, I simply have to share what information I can with physicians
and health care workers. Perhaps the next patient they come in contact with will
not have to do without, or stress their family with prescription drug costs.
Below
are some of the proven areas I have used myself. Some are better plans than
others, allowing a three-month prescription to be sent, thus lessening the
constant need for physicians and patients having to complete and send paperwork
in every month. Some will require closer monitoring, but it is worth it to the
patient, of that I can guarantee you.
Ideally
it would be fantastic if a patient representative or contact could be provided
for each Physician's office to handle this information. It would change the life
of so many people across the U.S. However, I know that you all suffer with costs
and overhead as much as we patients without coverage do.
Please
share this with your patients, and your fellow Health Care Providers.
Thank
you,
Suzanne

DIABETIC
NEEDLE ASSISTANCE
I recently made inquiries to BD Consumer Healthcare concerning any type
patient assistance program they might share with those needing help. Here
is what they are able to do currently.
Call 1-888-BD CARES (232-2737) Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5
pm Eastern, and let them know that you are a patient in need of
assistance.
Along with what else they may have as a current offer, they will be happy
to send you a coupon for a free box of syringes, as well as coupons for
dollars off future purchases.
Their site is also an excellent source for educational literature,
downloadable cookbooks, kits for your healthcare professional as well as
the latest in Diabetic Management Software and products.
